It's solar-powered, with rainwater catchment & composting toilets….which would all be wonderful, except there were 2 toilets for about 10 people, so of course they weren't functioning as they should have (I.e. We stayed in a private twin room in the upper building, so can't comment on the main building accommodations, but Shambhala didn't live up to our expectations, to put it mildly. These folks are trying to run a resort in a very sustainable, ethical manner, which I deeply respect.but it isn't working.
